OUR TEAM
_________

We believe that being small and specialized gives us the flexibility which is needed to ski the best snow every day, ride the best trails or experience as much as we can from the places we visit.

We don't hire new guides every season, we are bunch of friends who are lucky enough to do the job we do.  Our guides have 5+ years on Hokkaido island and are ready to show you our favourite lines.

VOJTA LÍM

If you combine hyperactivity and love for the outdoors you have some serious problem. You just constantly gotta be out doing something. I worked as a ski instructor and guide in couple of countries around the world, 5 years ago visited Japan and it looks like this country won't let me go so easily. I can't wait to show you some of my favourite lines I found during those years.

On the way, I managed to study International Business, worked in sales and marketing and learned few languages. I started this project and made the website so if you like what you see, please get in touch.

Certifications: CAA Avalanche Operations Level 1, Wilderness First Aid, NZSIA (Instructor) Level 2

He will be our lead guide on Hokkaido Road Trip.

TOMÁŠ PRAJZLER

I am a passionate skier, instructor and hockey player. In my spare time I managed to build and run headhunting agency.  As you know, money can't buy you happiness, but can buy you a lift pass and that's pretty close.

I joined the "Sherpas Ride train" as part of my experiment: "Will my company survive season stay in Japan?" Let's see.

Certifications: CAA Avalanche Operations Level 1, Wilderness First Aid, APUL (Instructor) Level 2

CYRIL ADÁMEK

I have been living in the mountains as long as I can remember. I am a snowboard guide and will take care of you all the boarder fellas.

I used to work as a shaper and spend few years riding park every day, so if you are into some freestyle action in Japan, talk to me....I will be happy to show you some pillows.

I am gonna come back to Hokkaido for my season number 5 after working in Norway as a Sea Kayak guide.

TAKEAKI NISHIOKA

Take is a Kutchan (Hokkaido) local, guiding and instructing for various companies. He is helping with finding the best lines and sorting all sorts of necessities. If your Japanese skills start with "arigato" and finishes with "konichiwa", no worries, Take have you covered.

JAKUB NEŠLEHA

Jakub also known as "Vulkan Rutiner" is our chef in Japan and for some reason always the most popular member of the crew. He makes arguably the best scrambled eggs on Hokkaido :). When not waxing your skis or preparing avalanche gear, he is shredding local resorts or climbing Mt. Yotei.

OUR STORY
__________

Back in 2010, sitting on a park bench in New Zealand I was thinking of what to do with life after quitting my comfortable office job as a Sales Guy. Couple years later and some sleepless nights putting visa papers together I found myself in the Japanese mountain town of Niseko – considered to be Powder Capital of the World. I instantly fell in love with the place and decided to bring other skiers here to allow them to get addicted to the feeling of skiing fresh lines in deep snow. SHERPAS RIDE was born.

Today we organize Freeride Ski/Snb Camp in Hokkaido so you also can experience Japanese magic. We produce freeride movies, run movie projections and try to make a point, that freeride skiing is accessible to normal fellas. Not pros only. In summer you can join us on one of our BIKE or RUN trainings in Prague.

Sherpas Ride is Common Interests Association, which organizes events for it's members. You can become a member by signing up for one of our events.

If you like what we do,  please get in touch. We can talk about your next big trip.
