We are dedicated to offering only a handful of unique skiing and biking locations and work with guides that know these places like the palm of their hand. We believe that being small and specialized gives us the flexibility which is needed to ski the best snow every day, ride the best trails, or experience as much as we can from the places we visit. We are a bunch of friends who are lucky enough to do the job we do and can’t wait to show you our favorite lines!

UIAGM MOUNTAIN GUIDE
Peter has been skiing and climbing for over 20 years. In summer he climbs the classics with his clients: the North Face of the Matterhorn, Piz Badille, the ridges of Mont Blanc. In winter he guides our Japanese trips and then moves to Arctic Norway to take on the Ski and Sail season.
He and his family escaped the hustle and bustle of the city to the peaks of the Tatra Mountains, which he can now call his home. Peter can’t wait to introduce you to his special Slovakian sense of humour 😛

If you combine hyperactivity and love for the outdoors you got some serious problems. With help of this diagnosis, I realized the “office life” was not for me and set off for a 2-year journey where I also visited Japan. I saw the magic of Hokkaido Pow in 2013 and have been bringing guests here ever since. I also have guided in Norway, the Alps, Georgia and I am on a constant hunt for some new adventures. I am proud of our Sherpas Ride team and we can´t wait to welcome you “on board”!

Jára Sijka
PHOTOGRAPHER
Jara is our in-house photographer and the one who will relentlessly put himself into the most awkward positions just to take a cool powder pic of yours. In winter he shoots pictures in Japan, Canada, or European Alps, while in summer he is the main photographer of the Czech bike enduro series. He is also a pretty mint and fast snowboarder. You will barely realize he is taking pictures while you ski. Most of the pictures you see around are his work.

Our story
Back in 2010, sitting on a park bench in New Zealand I was thinking of what to do with life after quitting my comfy office job. A couple of years later and after some sleepless nights putting visa papers together I found myself in the Japanese mountain town of Niseko – considered to be the Powder Capital of the world. I instantly fell in love with the place and decided to bring other skiers here to allow them to get addicted to the feeling of skiing fresh lines in deep snow. Sherpas Ride was born.
